Beautifully written.. I love the imagery of a primrose in the snow 🙂

Thank you 🙂 I love those hardy primroses. They grow where no other plant wants to and they come up through snow and all in late Feb/early March. Their bright petals thumb their noses at winter 🙂

ah…I left a message but I guess it didn’t send…
great haiku, Melinda, but I am having trouble seeing the metaphor, unless the whole piece is a metaphor for life…and, i could be wrong, but I thought haiku were written without the use of figurative language…with so many variations nowadays it’s hard to keep up with what’s accepted…
nonetheless, this is a beautiful piece 🙂

I think I left out the metaphor. Haiku is not my strong suit but I gave it a try anyway. (in reply to another comment that got flagged as spam–I’m really, really sorry about the mixup)
