Texting Zombies and Snark Bombs
After the I lobbed the snark bomb at the swat
teams, we fled the court, ran into a horde
of smart-phone obsessed zombies shambling. What
a nice distraction they made, as they bored
through crowds gathered to ogle teens texting
about their sudden addiction to brains.
We split fast lest the horde quit their texting
and start skull cracking to get at those brains.
My ship’s recent explosion had damaged
its propulsion but ten minutes’ cursing
got it star-worthy again and we charged
the sky, lit off our hyperbole drive,
burned metaphors on a victory dive.

Funny. I didn’t expect this. Very cute critique on phone texters! My spell check doesn’t like that word, but I’m sticking to it.

Thank you. I think texters is the correct term or it should be if it isn’t. That’s what I call ’em though I’m guilty of roaming around with my eyes glued to the phone too 🙂
