Curse Breaker | Stupefied
A keening sound startled Nolo and gave him a direction. He rushed off towards the source. He found Sarn staring at a broken child not two hundred paces away from the previous murder site. His hands shook where they remained suspended halfway between himself and the boy. Horror had shut off his reasoning.
Beyond the child lay a dozen men, women and children all dead. They’re bodies had not been ripped apart or in anyway despoiled. Nolo noted all that in a quick glance before returning his attention to his stricken charge. The dead could wait but Sarn could not.
Nolo crouched down in front of Sarn. The Kid’s eyes glowed as usual but their gaze had turned inwards. Something about this murdered child had caused him to relive something from his own past, but what? Why the hell wouldn’t talk about any of the hundreds of things that bothered him on a nightly basis?
Read the rest in Curse Breaker: Enchanted today:
After an enchanted tree abducts Sarn, he’s thrust into a mystery revolving around a double homicide. Can Sarn protect his son, keep his masters happy and help the dead boy haunting him?

For my sister, who died unexpectedly on 2/22/14:
Life began to ebb.
It passed slow from shaking hands–
a torch too soon snuffed.
Your chair is empty.
Your mug’s shelved waiting for tea.
No place at table.
No phone rings, no talk.
Quiet sets in as tears fall.
You’re just ashes now.
No rose lays on wood.
No petals wept for you sis,
just a rack and fire.
Your ashes remain.
You’re gone far away from here,
to heav’n blest to wait.
To you dear readers,
May blessings shower you all
and remain for life.
謝謝你

Thank you 🙂 yeah the Queen of All Trees is a force of nature. But she has good intentions. Thank you for the hugs. I think my wounded heart is mending.

I got that impression too that she don’t want Sarn to kill himself or to be killed by his magic. (am I right? :D)
That’s great! 🙂 Let time heal you. ❤

Yes she doesn’t want his magic to kill him. He’s in no danger of killing himself. He has a son waiting for him at home whom he loves. You’ll see him soon. he’s quite a character!

I think I saw him before? In Stars and Angels sing? 🙂

Yes, same little boy. This story is set several months before that story. So they’re not living with Nolo and his family yet. Nolo has no idea that the boy exists and Sarn is hell bent on keeping it that way.

YAY! Thank you! And actually… I am thinking of you having an inforgraphic of sorts for your Shayari tales. 🙂 Like how they are connected. 🙂 That’s just my idea so your new readers will have some sort of backgrounder for each of your unique characters. 🙂
