Apologize

I apologize, no new story part
for you, just a rerunning of my fave,
Curse Breaker: Enchanted’s very first part.
New readers here’s your chance to read my fave.
Maybe you’ll rave, maybe you’ll fall in love
with a story I love,  while I take care
of life’s obstacles which cannot be flubbed.
Taxes, court case, tickets, tow trucks, no spare–
waiting, lights blinking, forking over cash
hoping my paycheck will cover the cost
Beg rides, call dealers,  try not to be rash
I just need my car fixed before I’ve lost
the job that pays bills and secures a roof
Please fix my car before my job goes poof!

Having a run of bad luck tonight. The expensive kind. 😦

    1. I’m okay now. I was a basket case last night but things are working out today. life isn’t sailing by leaving me stranded, not today. I’ve had some offers of help and that has made a huge difference.

  1. I like the Sonnet but not the background story. Tomorrow will be better. If you need to talk hit me up – I’m running around but my gadget is stuck with me like a third arm. ❤️

    1. Thanks 🙂 I’m ok. I got the taxes filed last night and I managed to get the amount I owed down to a more manageable number. I’ll still have to live on peanut butter until payday next week but I think I’m solvent for another week and that’s all I can ask for. I’m still scraping by. The court case had an okay outcome. I have to fork over a bunch of cash for a fine and take a class to clear the points off my license but that’s not too bad. I’m out the lawyer fee and the cost of the tow last night but my insurance will cover the tire and its repairs. So that’s good. All in all, things are looking better than they were yesterday when I was sitting on a the side of the road alone waiting for a tow, wondering how I’d get home and how I’d afford all this.

    2. Oh, God. I’m sorry you had to go through all that on your own. I wish I was a phone call (and just blocks) away so that I could have picked you up or kept you company. I’m proud to know you can still find the positive sides of all this. Please remember you’re in my thoughts.

    3. Thank you 🙂 I’m just glad I didn’t have to ask my parents to drive out in the pouring rain; night driving is not one of their skills. SO I am very grateful the tow truck guy was amenable to hopping off the highway at my exit. I walked the few blocks to my flat without incident; I was just glad to get home, even if it was 4 hours after I left work.
