In My Garden

Tiny green tendrils
Push through the earth’s dark, rich skin
They seek the sun’s rays

Roses spread petals
Accept dawn’s kiss with a blush
Welcome the morning

The sweet scents of Spring
Waft o’er my smaller garden
The ladybugs dance

Beads of dew roll down
Daffodils’ yellow trumpet
Dawn’s first offering

My Peonies are here
Four Full bushes of color
Entice the insects

Dandelions wave
Fluffy heads of seeds that fly
Wind-driven nuisance

Butterflies flit by
From bloom to bright bloom gently
A young girl follows

Beloved begonia
Tropical transplant that thrives
Shielded from sun’s rays

Red Azaleas thrive
Paper thin petals float up
The bees buzz along

Double inpatients
Bloom rose-like in petaled tiers
Belles of the garden

  1. I am so tempted to pick one of each beautifully described flowers. But that is bad so I’ll have to stop myself. 🙂 Thank you for letting me ‘in your garden’. ❤ ❤ ❤
