Update

If we were having coffee….

First off, we’d be sitting in a cafe in Jacora City, the old district. I’d sip a cup of cinnamon herbal tea. To my left, Sarn would nurse a cup of black coffee; his son, Ran, would slurp down a glass of milk and Miren would guzzle an iced tea. Second, we’d be occupying the sunniest table available so anyone looking in Sarn’s direction would have to squint into the sunlight and the resulting glare would keep that curious onlooker from noticing that his eyes glow.

You might be a little apprehensive to join us even though I have a chair reserved for you and a cup of coffee just the way you like it waiting. A quick smile from the ever adorable Ran puts you right at ease. His little heart-shaped face invites you to sit despite his teenage uncle’s glower and his father’s silent indifference.

If we were having coffee…

I’d tell you that I am working on publishing to Amazon Kindle this fall Book One of the Curse Breaker Saga: Enchanted. My late sister, Carolyn, made me promise to publish this book before she died back in February of 2014. Her last request is a sword of Damocles hanging over my head, weighing on my mind as the days until her autumn birthday dwindle. So this one’s for her.

You can read the first 18K words of the over 100K word book here.

Since I wrote my series out-of-order, the sequel, Faceted, is close to complete and so, I expect to publish it in early 2017. (Fingers crossed.)

If we were having coffee….

I’d extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported me, read my posts,  commented, liked and shared. It’s been a bumpy ride and I’m grateful that you stopped by day after day.

You’ve asked when you can read the stories that I publish on here in book form and I’ve listened. I’m working hard on making that a reality but to accomplish this, it will cut into my blog time. I’m not certain what my new editorial schedule will look like but if you have a favorite, do let me know in the comments section and I will see what I can do.

Thanks again from the very bottom of my heart,

Melinda Kucsera

    2. aw thank you πŸ™‚ I am glad we met on here. There is a whole lot more in the book. It’s about 100K words and the sequel is longer than that. The sequel is truly epic–events wise.

  2. This is an update but it felt like a mystical coffee date especially with those introductory paragraphs. Well it surely somehow proves how wonderful writer you are. I can see Sarn, Ran and Miren vividly. And my most delight is the cuppa coffee waiting for me.

All I can say is good luck, my dear Mel! I know you are on the right tracks. Days may dwindle but you perseverance and diligence, I know, won’t dwindle. That’s how much you love your sister. ❀

In as much as I want to see you here everyday, (I will seriously miss our long chitchats), I would love to support you all the way.

You are a rare soul my dear. And it honestly pains me that a few lovely writers/readers see that in you and your exciting stories. I can sense your tiredness, because I know you’ve been working so hard on every word and every image posted here. It’s heartbreaking that a few see that, but please know that we are still here. And I am glad because I am not alone. ❀

I admire your words, I am in awe of the images you made, but most of all, your personality shines brightly.

Hugs and love to you, Mel! ❀ ❀ ❀

    P.S.
    Sorry for ranting! ❀

    1. Thank you for your heartfelt words. You can rant whenever you want πŸ™‚ I will still be here writing and reading. I’m just not certain how often given the deadlines I set myself. I love this blog and I am not abandoning it. Nor do I want to completely stop publishing new story parts. So there will be more soon and the chats will definitely continue πŸ™‚
