Gunita/Not Forgotten

Gunita/Not Forgotten

It feels like his calloused hand sliding a diamond solitaire onto her ring finger, whose shaking is stilled by a kiss. It sounds like I love you whispered on a lilac scented breeze that tickles her ear and shivers her gold hoop earrings. The porch swing rocks two lovers bending close to share a kiss as starlight softens the world’s edges and a misty rain dews the grass. Her chiffon gown crinkles as it’s ruched up to keep its ruffled hem from dragging on the grass as she spins round, shouting her answer to the stars shooting over head and to the love of her life who’s down on bended knee waiting for her yes.

Thank you @sable_swan for the perfect opening line. It begged for a story. Check out her tweets  for more beautiful lines.  You’re sure to be inspired.

Thank you to Maria of Doodles and Scribbles and Rosema of A Reading Writer‘s Word High July for the #FilipinoWords #Prompt.
