Bachelor girl on an Inter-dimensional Carousel

(Continues from You Are a Memory)

Round and round this bachelor girl went. Up and down and I rode a merry-go-round made of star shine and wishes, listening to the Blue Danube instead of the music of the spheres. Below turned a world unlike mine but connected. Shimmering lines webbed the dark spaces between the stars and their touchpoints were minds dreaming of a green land, my land, my Shayari.

I touched one of them, and gravity yanked me off my ride, and I merged with an office worker riding a train. His tapered fingers turned the page and started a new chapter. My consciousness faded, blending into his. We were one entity reading an epic fantasy tale about a place called Shayari and the betrayal and murder of all I held dear. In the background, Beeline buses loaded up with train passengers and darkness blanketed the tracks while a bachelor sat alone, lost in a tragic tale.
