The Rescue You’ve Been Waiting For

Hey, Rogue Rescue published yesterday on our Scribe’s birthday (March 10th)! Rogue Rescue is the 4th book in the Robin of Larkspur series. If you’re new to the series, start with book 1, Hunter’s Night, where Robin’s baby is kidnapped. But in Rogue Rescue, that baby gets rescued, and things go crazy. We like to do what the title says. Melinda talks about how crazy the rescue got in a special podcast episode, and she gives many spoilers. I interfere in it, of course. Listen to our podcast in your player of choice. Or Watch it on YouTube. Who am … Continue reading The Rescue You’ve Been Waiting For

A Tale of Two Versions with many digressions

Hey, We’re back and we’re about a week away from Rogue Rescuepublishing! Rogue Rescue is the 4th book in the Robin of Larkspur series. If you’re new to the series, start with book 1, Hunter’s Night. Storm the Gates, book 3 of the Rogue Gods Trilogy, is coming along nicely, and that’s all thanks to me. I’m Ran, Sarn’s son from the Curse Breaker series, and in the Rogue Gods Trilogy, I’m all grown up with my own magic and opinions. Okay, the opinions aren’t a new since I had them way back in Curse Breaker Enchanted, and I told … Continue reading A Tale of Two Versions with many digressions

In Her Honor – A Tribute To My Sister

In honor of the 10th anniversary of my sister’s passing, Stars & Angels Sing published today in a special expanded edition 10 years ago today, my younger sister passed away suddenly while on vacation. Her death wrecked me. Nothing prepares you for such a loss. For a long time, there was a hole in my family and in my heart. But I had fictional characters who needed me to write their stories so I could keep the promise I made to my sister before she left on vacation to publish their stories. And they reminded me every day of that … Continue reading In Her Honor – A Tribute To My Sister

Three books or one omnibus? How do you like your trilogies?

Hey! I need your help again. Would you cast your vote and help us break the deadlock? Certain characters have raised some interesting points and now the cast is quarrelling again. What are we arguing about now? Do you want the Rogue Gods Trilogy as separate books or as one omnibus? We’ve never put out a trilogy all at once because we don’t usually get our act together far enough in advance to do that. But Melinda has become really good at motivating us to show up and see a story arc through to the end or else. What does … Continue reading Three books or one omnibus? It’s finally done!

I finally finished Summon the Gods, book 2 of the Rogue Gods Trilogy today. It’s 54 chapters of timeline-crashing, hell-raising mayhem. One more book to go until this madcap high-concept character-driven madness is done. But the next one should be fun since Ran declared himself a main character while I was sleeping and there’s an army of demons and fallen angels marching toward Heaven’s pearly gates. I’ll start writing the sequel later. It’ll be called Storm the Gates since that’s what most of the characters in it will be doing. You can read book 1 (Gateway to Hell so titled … Continue reading It’s finally done!

The battle of the books begins here

Hey This week, I need to start with a poll because the cast is arguing about something and we need your opinions! Then I’ll tell you a secret. But first our the poll. Some characters have strong opinions about what format to put the Rogue Gods Trilogy in. And we’ve reached the point where we have to make decisions about that because the different formats need different formatting. But we can’t format them if we don’t know what formats to format for. Okay, I’ll stop. I was having a little too much fun with words. Last week, at the end … Continue reading The battle of the books begins here
