Listening Objects

~ ~ ~

Listening objects
fill dreams of the present where
words shine and transform.

~ ~ ~

They ease from flower
to water to that other
thing and are collected as sense.

~ ~ ~

Listening objects
scattered on the ground have found
sense made is sense lost.

~ ~ ~

So translations shift
one word, two–the meaning’s through
gone now that words don’t align.

~ ~ ~

Listening objects
to talking fast without pause
leaving me with one
device too many–useless
a hunk of junk now exiled.

~ ~ ~

For the Sunday Whirl #242  because this bit of nonsense ran through my head when I saw the wordle for this week. 😀

    1. Thank you! It made me laugh. Sometimes I have to let the nonsense flow so I can write the serious stuff 🙂 I have to thank the creator for putting listen and object next to each other in the wordle so when I typed the words from it into a new post, those two landed next to each other and ran away with me. 🙂

  1. I am a listening object, though I don’t always hear well 🙂 An interestingly creative write, like you are purging a number of thoughts to make room for something else.

    1. No worries, I always have headphones in so I am always giving them a yank and asking, “what’d you just say?” 😉 (People start talking to me while I am listening to audio books or on the phone at work.)
yes! I felt like my brain purged itself of some nonsense so I can make sense 🙂 How’d you guess?

        1. this kind of thing has run through my head before; I read too much and my brain makes too many connections. I usually keep such nonsense in mind instead of post. Sometimes such thoughts transform into diamonds and are included elsewhere 🙂

          1. 🙂 Still, this was a great piece which provides the reader with an opportunity to make connections and relate to the process used to create this piece 🙂

  2. I love how you put that line “sense made is sense lost”. And it caught me a little off guard to tell you the truth because this morning the word sense is making so much sense to me and making no sense either. Woke up with my senses being filled by a beautiful tune and now your listening objects solidifying my sensible senselessness or senseless sensibilities. Am I making sense?

          1. I want back and read my ‘EPIC’ comment twice :):) . I suppose that’s the epicest one I’ve ever made on anyone’s post. Lol

  3. Ha! I found the hidden sense through the listening objects. But I am sure if I am making some sense, now! XD Whatever sense I am talking about, this one is great. The beat and the rhyme is great for the listening objects! 😀
