Curse Breaker: Enchanted
Curse Breaker: Enchanted has a new cover. Check it out and let me know what you think. It’s due out this fall/winter in paperback, kindle edition and (fingers crossed) audio book. Here’s the cover of book 1:

So, do you like it? What do you think?
Have no idea what I’m talking about? Read a synopsis here.
Love it, Mel. Striking and vibrant, the green pulls me in. Very nicely done 🙂
Thank you 🙂 Green is not my favorite color but since the main character’s eyes glow green and give his world a greenish cast, it made sense.
It really works well!
Thank you 🙂
Most welcome 🙂
🙂
YAY!!! Welcome to the world, dear cover! You’re eerie and enchanting and I can’t wait to read you!
Your avid lover,
Rosema <3
aw thank you! I am so glad you like it. Now back to the hard bit–editing! I wish I could afford a professional but I don’t have a $1000 to spend on that.
Reall love it. The green eyes pop and seem mysterious. It would make me immediately pick this book up. Good luck as you publish it. Let us know where you list it. I’d love to buy a copy once it’s published 🙂
Thank you 🙂 I am working to have it on sale on my late sister’s birthday– 9/27/2016–on Amazon.com. It will hopefully go up for pre-sale by month’s end. Right now I am editing like crazy. It will be available in 3 editions — Kindle, paperback and audio book. The audio book may go on sale later depending on how long it takes to produce one. I have never turned a book in an audio book so I have no idea how long that will take. I have to finish the editing on the print and kindle versions before I can start tackling that. 🙂
All very neat. I’m excited for you 🙂 As well as re-reading the book on the kindle app 🙂
I have a suggestion for the audiobook you may take or leave of course.
Maybe this is only me, but I much prefer audiobooks where the person telling the story, makes different voices for different characters. I have listened to a few stories where one voice tells the whole story and it’s not as interesting to listen to.
Sometimes at first, making different voice may seem silly but as you listen it’s great to distinguish the characters by.
Completely my opinion, do whatever you want to do. But just a thought. Best of luck with everything my friend. I think your sister would be incredibly proud. 💕💞🍧 🌻
I completely agree with you which is why I love Bronson Pinchot’s and Simon Vance’s narration. They do a bang up job of voicing the characters. I intend to try my best to imitate.
Awesome! Happy for you with everything 💕
Thank you 🙂
Enjoy your Sunday 🙂
I did 🙂 I hope you did too. I’m back to work on a sunny Monday 🙂
Yeah. Lol. I guess I’m a day behind though. I just looked at my calendar now and said “it’s Monday.” Lol.
🙂 I wish I had such a relaxed schedule
This is so perfect!!
Thank you 🙂 i thought so too
Great cover. And it’s a great cover for any genre. It adds intrigue and curiosity. You made a good selection.
Thank you I designed and created it myself. I created covers asking the same lines for the sequels 🙂 they look awesome side by side
You do great work there. The visuals you created for your blog posts were always first rate.
Thank you 🙂 i love photoshop
Is it easy to learn how to use it?
Photoshop? Depends on what you want to do
Images like you do for blog posts so I wouldn’t have to use images from the internet
Have you ever used pixlr.com? It’s similar to that Web based tool abs you can do pretty much the same thing for free. Most of what i do is Manipulating layers, blending them, hiding portions, selectively darkening/lightening/colorizing them and you can do that fairly easily. It just gets tedius when you need only a portion of the image.
Thank you again. You are a saviour. Already opened the page on another tab. Thanks. Please nevr disappear. Always stay in touch with me.

Cool
We writers need to help each other out 🙂
Exactly
You do great work Mel. Very vibrant looking cover. I suggest you share it on other social mediums you use as well 🙂
I am working on that 🙂 thanks for the suggestion
Like I’ve said before: AWESOME. Love it. Can’t wait for the paperback. Making space for it on my coffee table. 🙂
Thank you, I’m working on it 🙂
I know you are. And giving 120% on it, too.
Yes and fretting because I read everywhere that I should hire an editor for a professional edit. If I could afford one, I would, but for a 100K MS, it’s a $1000 for one editing pass. I read that a book needs 2 passes plus a proofread, which would cost about $3000. I just don’t have that kind of money right now. I am doing the best I can editing it myself but I am not an editor. I am a project manager for IT. I get so busy at work that I mistype project and task names. My team finds that hilarious and won’t let me correct them. They take their laughs where they can. 🙂
And you laugh with them ☺️ I am proud of you. You got this.
Actually I was embarrassed, but I left it alone because it amused my team. 🙂 I laugh at it now in retrospect and check my project and task names multiple times before submitting.
