Cat Attack
Cat terrorizes
city streets clogged with traffic
yellow cabs attract
Between massive paws
cab’s compacted and shaken
residents stay hid
office workers peer
out of glass windows to stare
at a giant cat
Loose feline prowls streets
cab drivers advised to flee
city core locked down
Pigeons all take flight
wing away from the carnage
they’re on the menu too
Look! Up in the sky–
it’s a flying cat catcher!
she’s supersonic
Her net’s extended
her hand is firm on the grip
the net dangles down
bright orange attracts
split pupil eyes that swivel
Raised paw bats at net
claws catch in its weave
Cat struggles to free itself
tangled in more nets
Fighter jets dispatched
nets hooked to undercarriage
flies with the menace
One unhappy cat
a special delivery
the lab wants it back
Zap! In a flash cat shrinks
normal-sized house cat meows
lab assistants sigh

Well, that was exciting. I am sure the cat had fun while he was on the prowl in town. Now back to his normal namby-pamby size.
Yes! He had a grand time until someone shrank him. Not sure the citizens of that city enjoyed it though…

So, how does one call such a cat? Does one call: Here, kitty, kitty, kitty?? 🙂 A creative look at a lab-created cat and while I love gods (and have a dog) I also love cats.
what about industrial strength catnip? 😉 That would do the job nicely or a really big feather duster. I have never seen a cat resist pouncing on one of those. I like cats that belong to other people 🙂

As far as I can figure it, he seems to be Lady Luck’s doorman. A Herald, perhaps? He’s not a very fair chap. Discards half our best ideas, including the ones that call for peanut butter and jelly cakes with lemon and raspberry filling! 😀
