I’m back and I have good news this week. Melinda didn’t build anything else so you can mark us safe from furniture construction disasters. We’re already off to a great start.
But it gets even better! The proof copies of the special deluxe editions of the Riders of the Apocalypse Series printed! They have printed!
We got a tracking link for them! That means they will leave the UK, where they were printed this week and journey across the Atlantic Ocean. The proof copies ae coming! This is not a drill.
The proof copy of the slipcase also printed but it didn’t ship yet. It will ship this week so it should be right behind the books.
What does this mean?
It means we need to get everything ready for the launch ASAP.
What’s still not done?
This is not done:

What is that?
Curse Breaker Universe: the complete reading guide and world manual is not done. It’s first edition probably won’t have everything but it’ll have as much as we can get into it. Right now we have the reading order for each series, what to read next, some of our favorite images to accompany them, what to read next, all 6 maps from the SE Riders of the Apocalypse hardcover books, bios with character art for 8 characters (Sarn, Sovvan, Ran, Robin, Rosalie, Guerren, Argeaneal, and Fay), an illustrated timeline of all our books, and an illustrated timeline of just the Rogue Gods Crossover Event.
We’re trying to do a reading log but some characters don’t agree on the order for it. Obviously, the Curse Breaker Series should go first. It started everything. Some characters don’t agree. But they’re wrong, and I’m right.
That’s it so far.
Here’s an example of three pages from the book:

Left to Right: 1 character page for Sarn, the Curse Breaker Universe Timeline illustration, a reading order page showing the Curse Breaker Series. Can you guess what’s on my scribe’s mind?
I promise all the series are in there and all the books. Just the characters listed above have pages so far. Don’t tell Uncle Miren there’s no page for him yet. There’s also a family tree for my family.
I didn’t take a screenshot of it because it contains massive spoilers. So don’t look at it until after you read Curse Breaker Jousts, okay? All is revealed in there.
By the way, this is Ran, Sarn’s son from the Curse Breaker Series, writing to you. That was probably obvious since I picked screen shots of my dad’s character page and a page for our series. But I have to push it whenever possible because I only exist when you read my story, so please do that?
Curse Breaker Enchanted is free to download from our shop. It’s delivered by BookFunnel so you can easily put it on your favorite reading app.
What are we missing?
The booklet is 71 pages so far, but Melinda is still fixing it and I just sent her some more images that I want in there. So the page count will definitely rise. Curse Breaker Universe will just be digital and sent out as a full-formatted, high-resolution print ready PDF for now, so you can print the maps and pictures out if you want. It will be part of every tier in our upcoming Kickstarter. A lot of work and love went into making it, and we want everyone to have it.
I may have pulled some art I like from special editions of the past and included them because they should live on.
But in the future, when the book lives up to the complete part of its title, we’ll offer a printed version. Right now, it aspires to be the complete guide, but it’s not there yet. Melinda might change the title to remove the word complete from the title since it’s not complete. We’re still arguing about that.
We intend to add to it over time and offer a new version with every campaign as we build this resource out.
If there’s something we’re missing that you’d like to be included, please hit reply and tell us! Or leave a comment if you’re reading on Substack.
Did I get any page time this week?
You bet I did. Melinda wrote chapters 5, 6, 7 & 8 this week for Curse Breaker Unleashed. We have not yet unleashed the curse breaker yet though. We’re still resolving things from the previous book, Curse Breaker Jousts, that we couldn’t do in Jousts.
When you read the last 10 chapters, you’ll see what we mean. These things were better off being resolved in the next book since they lead into the new trouble we get into.
If you want to read along as we adventure, head over to Patreon or Substack and sign up for any paid tier. The opening chapters will spoil the ending of Curse Breaker Jousts and Chaos in Chains, so maybe bookmark that until you read both books.
New Podcast Episodes!
Melinda recorded 2 new episodes this week, but we’re waiting for the preorder link for one episode, so it’ll publish next week or the week after since the author has to wait for the publisher to put the book up for preorder before he can send a link.
But we didn’t have that issue with the second podcast episode she recorded. N.R. Farias dropped by to talk about her debut book, how it saved her life, and how she used EMDR to write the scenes at its emotional core. It was a wild interview and N.R. was so enthusiastic and so much fun to talk to. I hope you enjoy hearing her talk about her new book.
This the latest episode published as of this newsletter:

That’s all I’ve got for this week. See you next week!
