What’s the holdup?

Hi Readers, Last week, we traveled through a portal to my world. (This is Ran, Sarn’s son in case you forgot.) When we reached my world, we went looking for the culprits who are holding up the release of Relic Hunter.  So basically, those two people in the image above. So let’s return to that. “So would you say it’s Papa’s fault that the story is not finished yet, and it’s publication had to be pushed to May 7? These nice people would like to know.” I gestured to you, and you smiled expectantly because such smiles aways invite answers. Yan … Continue reading What’s the holdup?

From the flames, we ascend…

Hi Readers, I’m baffled and hope you can help. Last week, I told you we put out a hit on our old covers—I mean—we floated the request for a new cover around Fiverr and received some bids. One of the designers really impressed us. She totally got who we are and what we stand for. So we hired her to recover Enchanted. (Enchanted is still free, or it should be. Amazon tends to change the price without notice. So that link will take you to our site where there’s a failsafe for that. We’ve learned our lesson.) We asked the designer … Continue reading From the flames, we ascend…

A squadron of angels and books descend

Hi Readers, Before we dive back in, I just wanted to give you a quick rundown of what’s been going on. Here’s your status update: The cast commissioned a new cover for Enchanted. Since Melinda was kidnapped by a book a month ago, we don’t have official sanction from our fearless scribe nor her valuable input. Please join our Facebook group and help us! We’re getting the next round of changes in a few days, and we’re not good judges of covers. Books in Progress Curse Breaker: Sundered Tagline: Magic’s stronger when it’s broken Because the Adversary broke Papa’s magic … Continue reading A squadron of angels and books descend

Back in the Black Between Books

Hi Readers, I’m back. It’s Ran, your lovable narrator, and sidekick. I’m taking back my newsletter because 1) our scribe got so sick she needed two antibiotics, and 2) the newsletter-dragon got so turned around by GDPR, she created two privacy policies. And, most insulting of all, no one rescued us. Papa and I are still hanging out between worlds, and it’s cold here! Papa’s voluminous cloak can only do so much to warm me since we went from a rainy accident scene to this weird place in between worlds. “I want to go home,” I said into Papa’s chest. “I … Continue reading Back in the Black Between Books

The Gray Between Memorials & Angels

Hi Readers, where am I? Everything was gray and blurry and refused to clarify. Where was I before I arrived here? When she tried to remember, she found nothing, not even a hint of a clue. Her mind had been scoured clean of everything except that one conviction—I was just somewhere else in the middle of doing something important. That wrenching feeling of displacement was so strong, there was no denying it. But it gave her something to go on, some mental ground to build on. She clung to that scrap of information and searched for more. My mind can’t … Continue reading The Gray Between Memorials & Angels

Kidnapping Angels & Privacy Policies

Hi Readers, This is not your newsletter-dragon. She bungled things last week, so it falls to me to fix things or my brother and nephew will never get rescued and that, my dear friend, is unacceptable. I miss my nephew. Ran and I haven’t had much face time since I only just met him (in terms of the space-time continuum within our book world.) So I want to get him back. And let’s face it, if I see one more email mentioning GDPR, I’ll fling my halo chakram-style at the newsletter-dragon while shouting an ululating war cry. (I didn’t get … Continue reading Kidnapping Angels & Privacy Policies
